Are the Patriots preparing for the JETS game like it's the Pro Bowl?
The New York Jets have said they are preparing for Sunday’s clash with the Patriots as if it were the Super Bowl, are the Patriots are taking the slightly different approach of preparing for the game as if it were the Pro Bowl? Like the Pro Bowl, Patriots players say, Sunday’s game doesn’t mean all that much and should be fairly easy.

- I hope NE is preparing for it that way. Surprise when we smack them in the mouth, 34-17!
- The Jets are leaving spam voicemails, taunting the Patriots and Marc Sanchez is writing his Hall of Fame induction speech in between having orgies with NY Supermodels. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are reviewing their next opponent very closely with ice cold blood in their veins and making a plan and checking it twice. I know where my money is riding.
- By preparing like the Pro Bowl you mean getting 20 ringers from other teams....if any team could cheat like that and get away with it...it would be the Pats.
- I doubt anyone on the team is actually thinking that. Thats also not how they run the team to be.
- Nobody puts the Gis' in Giselle like Tom Brady before a Jets game. Puts new meaning in the term "deep balls" really.
- No Tom Brady was just saying that the Jets coach was acting like it was the superbowl, which it is certainly not, the jets would'nt know anyways. Besides Tom said it was a big game because he explained how it was a diviion game and every game counts. That actually just pissed of the Pats more so now the Jets have no chance
- Why prepare, when they can cheat?
- Either way, it's going to be a great game and an even better match-up between two division rivals with such a storied past. With the loss of Jerod Mayo (out at least a month), I think it is going to be a very close game given the fact that Jackson ran all over our D after Mayo left the game on Monday. If the Pats can shut down the running game completely, than I believe the Pats will eventually pull away because lets face it, even without Mayo, the Pats' D is much better than Houston's, and Mark Sanchez will have his hands full. It's going to be a great game, and it is entirely too close to call. I'm hoping the Pats win, but I think it's going to be a very close game that will be decided in the closing minutes.
- that "spygate" thing happend years ago, get over it, its just pathetic now
- Even though the Pats are not the champs, every opponent plays them as if they were. The aura of the Pats is still alive and well. With Brady at QB the Jets MUST prepare as if they winning playing in the Super Bowl. The last thing for any team is to take their opponent lightly. That is a receipt for disaster. In the NFL there isn't much difference between contenders and pretenders. Pats should win but the Jets WILL show up!
- If you go into a game against ANY NFL team preparing like its a Pro Bowl you WILL lose. This is the NFL, not college. Florida can go into a game against Florida International without having practiced 10 minutes all week. But the pros are the pros for a reason, and the saying "Any Given Sunday" exists for a good reason. And the Jets are probably one of the most underrated teams in the NFL this year. Everybody concentrates on their lack of a big name wide receiver, but they forget the fact that they have an elite offensive line and the NFL leader in all purpose yards and the AFC leader in rushing yards. Also, Jerricho Cotchery and Dustin Keller are perfect receiving options for the Jets style of offense, and if the running game is effective they will be more than enough for the Jets to make the playoffs.
- thats actually from an article on the www.thebrushback.com, a satire site. "Patriots Preparing For Jets Game Like Its Pro Bowl"
