Did Jets fans light the seets at Giants Stadium on fire?

I heard that on a Monday Night games verse Buffalo something like this happened. Is this true, and if it is when did this happen?

7. yes many years ago and it was seat cushions that they gave as a promo. It was a national game on Monday night and the fans did burn the things. after that theybarred beer sales after 1/2 time at Giants stadium for both teams. So it is a true story Middle 1980s
